I know what it’s like to build a business that looks successful from the outside but feels unsustainable on the inside.

A person is working on a laptop at a wooden table. Next to them is a stack of books relating to business and success, with titles visible such as 'The Warren Buffett Way' and 'The Deals That Made The World'. The setting appears to be professional, possibly an office or study.

For over 25 years, I worked in kitchens. I ran them, built teams, started my own solo company, wrote two cookbooks, built a social media following, worked with international brands, and cooked on TV more times than I can count. From the outside? It looked like I had it all figured out. Behind the scenes? I was burned out, stretched thin, and constantly putting out fires. The real problem? I was doing too much and trying to run a business without systems—just grit, instinct, and long hours. Eventually, I realized: hard work isn’t enough. If you don’t step back, simplify, and structure things properly, your business will end up owning you. So I fixed it. Slowly. One workflow, one template, one hard conversation at a time. And once I got my time and energy back, I decided to start helping other business owners do the same.

I started Westhaver Business Coaching to help people like you.

People who are working way too hard for way too little return. People who know something isn’t working, but don’t have the time or clarity to fix it. If that’s you, I get it. This isn’t about hustle. It’s not about “scaling.” It’s about building something that works for your life, not against it. I work with solo service providers and small business owners who are overwhelmed, burned out, and ready to take back control. Together, we clean up the chaos. We simplify your offers, build systems around your work, and make sure your business supports your life, not the other way around.

A few things about me:

  • I’ve been a solopreneur for over 8 years.

  • I live in Atlantic Canada with my wife and two young sons

  • I believe clarity beats hustle, systems beat stress, and your business should serve you, not drain you

  • Finally, I believe that if you had a mindset issue or a motivation issue, you wouldn’t have started a business in the first place.

Want to talk?

No pressure. Just a real conversation about what’s working, what’s not, and what you want instead.
